Adoption Process:
If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application
Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Applications will not be considered if you have not read the dogs bio in full and do not meet the requirements for that specific dog.
Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s).
****Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well.*****
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
-Primary applicants must be 21 or older and provide photo ID upon adoption
-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,-Dogs living in the home currently that are over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable.-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt within a week. We are unable to hold dogs due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.
Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place
Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours.
If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.
If renting, approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises. If you have a current dog, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together. You will bring your dog to our facility for the meet. We cannot travel to you.If you adopt from Fetch A Friend Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Fetch A Friend Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt that dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. When a dog is posted we may receive up to 50 applications in a matter of hours. You will receive an email if selected to come and meet this dog.

ABOUT ME!: Adorable brindle boy Gus is the sweetest boy who just wants to please his people and play with all of the dogs he can! Poor Gus has been waiting one year for his forever family. He has really blossomed here into a super social dog who loves daycare and plays well with dogs of all sizes. He has never met another dog he didn't like! He is definitely a friend to all and even does well with cats! Gus is seeking an active dog owner who understands how much exercise and daily enrichment a young athletic dog requires. This guy does not want to sit home alone all day being bored. Gus wants to be out on hikes, going to daycare, and getting his daily mental enrichment treats and toys. He unfortunately was not getting these things in his home and was chewing things he should not have. Gus absolutely needs to be crated when he is home alone for his own safety. He is perfectly content in his crate with his durable toys and does great. He would also be happy to be at doggy daycare during the week as well!
Gus is housebroken, incredibly loveable, and would do best in a home without very small kids. Their loudness and quick movements scare him. He loves women most and is pretty terrified of men. He will need a female owner with no men in the home for his ultimate comfort and happiness. He is a sensitive soul who will cower when a voice is raised. Gus just wants stability, routine, belly rubs, kisses, and doggy friends to be happy!
Gus is neutered, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.ADOPTION FEE: $250

ABOUT ME!: Tubbs is quite possibly one of the most wonderful dogs we have ever met! This beautiful girl came to us with quite a sad past. She was rescued from life on a chain in a backyard. This was after her "owner" was shot and killed in front of her. Tubbs was taken to a shelter and had a couple of lumps removed that were found to be mast cell cancer. She was able to have all of it removed and is cancer free! The vet said it is unlikely to come back within the next 5 plus years but it is unknown. Aside from all of this, Tubbs is quite possibly the happiest, sweetest girl on the planet. All she wants is love and cuddles from anyone who will sit with her. She adores kids, is a relatively low maintenance dog, is totally house trained, crate trained, loves having a huge bed and lots of stuffies to snuggle with, and enjoys walks! Tubbs has hip dysplasia and has been working on losing weight since her arrival. She will need to remain on a healthy diet, and kept well exercised. She cannot get overweight for the sake of her hips. Allowing her to get overweight will only shorten her life and cause her pain. Tubbs cannot jump up due to this and therefore cannot do stairs, or jump into vehicles, on the couch/bed etc. Nor does she jump up on people. Tubbs gets around great and can play hard and wrestle with other dogs. Despite loving other dogs, Tubbs is very jealous of other dogs sharing attention with her humans and wants their lap all to herself. She will do best as the only dog in the home for this reason. She also deserves all the love in the world and should have it! We adore this girl VERY much and hope she finds the most perfect home ever. She deserves endless love and spoiling(just not in the form of food!)
Tubbs is very much a velcro dog and will follow you anywhere. She was a huge hit at our golf tournament being carried by all of the groups of men and soaking up so much love.
Tubbs is spayed, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Ruby is a loving, loyal and gentle girl who loves to play and snuggle. She is great with children and other dogs. Ruby was adopted from us at the end of 2021 as a puppy but due to no fault of her own lost her home through a life change for her family. Ruby arrived to us in pretty rough shape with a horrible case of mange that took many, many months to treat. She will need to remain on her flea/tick prevention monthly forever to keep her skin permanently clear. She will go home with her remaining supply of this as well. Ruby lived with small children and a small cockapoo. She would do best in a home with another dog as she loves to play so much! Ruby will need to be crated when home alone as she becomes anxious when left alone. She does not try to break out of her crate or anything and is calm and comfortable in it. When her brother would go to the groomer and leave Ruby behind she would be pretty sad about it and did best in a crate. Ruby is used to sleeping in bed with her humans at night and has always done so since she was a puppy. Ruby walks very well on a leash and requires daily exercise and long walks or runs. She was accustomed to going 4 miles every day previously with her family. She is a volunteer favorite here for walk times and loves walking around the neighborhood. Ruby will need a cat free home as she views them as prey, she would likely chase squirrels also. Ruby is a people dog and does not enjoy being tied outside and left for long periods of time. She enjoys being with people or other dogs and loves having the run of the fenced yard here with her doggy friends. Ruby is housebroken, does very well riding in the car, and is looking for a family to love her, hopefully with kids and other dogs!
Ruby is spayed, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Adorable Lindy was found under someone's porch with a litter of puppies! Her puppies all went to rescues and we took in Lindy to find the best forever home. Lindy is the absolute sweetest girl and loves to give and receive lots of love and cuddles. Lindy is an active young girl looking for a busy family. True to her breed she is an extremely energetic girl who would make the best hiking/running partner and would likely excel at agility classes. She will need an owner who understands the breed and their herding drive. She keeps a very clean kennel and is not destructive at all. She is completely housebroken! She is also an excellent passenger in the car! Lindy loves to walks nicely on a leash and knows some basic commands. She absolutely loves doggy daycare and making new friends. Her canine friends at home should be an equal match of energy that wants to play just as much as she does or they may find her constant desire to play annoying. She will be a fantastic companion! Lindy is spayed, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT: Adorable Duke came to us locally a year ago after his family moved out of their home and left him locked in the house. He was abandoned for an unknown period of time, and discovered by neighbors. He found a wonderful home for a year but was recently returned through zero fault of his own. His dad had a medical issue causing him to no longer be able to care for Duke on his own.
Poor Duke is the absolute sweetest dog ever and just wants a permanent family. Duke is a happy boy who greets anyone he meets with a warm hug! He will literally wrap his paws around you and lean his head on you for love. He is short and compact but will need to lose some extra pounds he gained. Duke loves to go for walks with our volunteers, loves durable chew toys, should be crated when home alone, he loves to play with other dogs, does not mind cats and lived with some, he also loves kids. He is a very quiet boy also so if you're looking for a guard dog- he isnt it. He would happily let a stranger in the home! Duke would do best with someone who is home most of the day. Duke is totally crate trained and 100% potty trained! Please open your home to this perfect boy who has been waiting so long for forever.
Duke is neutered, heart worm negative, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and current on his parasite preventions.

ABOUT: Adorable short stack Beethoven is cute as can be with the personality to match! This happy boy is always smiling, incredibly sweet and never has a bad day! He loves everyone he meets, dogs included and would love to have another dog playmate in the home! He arrived to us as an unclaimed stray with an old injury to his front paw that never healed correctly according to an x-ray. It does not bother him unless he plays hard for a long period of time, he will then have a limp on it. The injury is too old to correct now but causes him no pain. Beethoven is still a happy dude who is eager to please. He still has puppy energy and is quite active! He is seeking an owner that will put in the time and training he needs like any other dog. He can be mouthy and grabby which we are working on redirection. He is very submissive and is learning quickly what is expected of him. He loves going to daycare and making new friends and can play for hours! Once tired he is very calm and cuddly. Beethoven was heart worm positive when he was found but he has since been treated and that is behind him now. He will need to remain on year round Heartgard however for prevention. He loves a good belly rub, rides well in the car, loves walks, playing fetch and enrichment activities!
Beethoven is now neutered, heart worm treated, current on all vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Bart and his sisters arrived to us from a local woman who had an accidental litter between her dogs. She was having trouble finding anyone took take them and gave them to us to make sure they received vet care and proper homes.
We are told dad was a pitbull, and mom was a wirehaired terrier. We see no pitty in them but we are told it is there. Bart and his sisters have wire haired coats that will require grooming and they are not hypoallergenic. They do all shed. Bart is a typical puppy full of energy and seeking an active family willing to put in the time to train him into a well rounded pup. He will benefit greatly from obedience classes and is highly food motivated for training. They are not potty trained and will be seeking homes that understand they will need to be trained. They love toys, are learning that riding in a car is not scary, and have been learning what a leash and harness is. Bart and his siblings would not be well suited as apartment dogs despite their small size they can be quite vocal. Bart may be initially shy when meeting someone new due to not seeing many people as a baby but he warms up very quickly once he's in your lap!
Bart is neutered, dewormed, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.ADOPTION FEE: $350

ABOUT ME!: Adorable Buster was found as a stray and no owner was ever searching for him to claim him. Buster is a typical young man looking for a home that will work with him and train him into a well behaved adult pup. He is full of energy and seeking an active home that likes to go for walks and play, He has already mastered the sit command and is very motivated when it comes to learning new things. We do not know what Buster is a mix of but we are guessing he will be a fairly large boy when full grown. Buster keeps a clean kennel here but will need to learn a potty training routine within a home environment. He is quiet in his crate, and has not been a chewer of his toys or beds.
Buster is neutered, dewormed, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.
