Fetch A Friend Rescue

Adoption Process:

If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application

Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s). Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well.

-Primary applicants must be 21 or older

-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,

-Dogs in the home currently over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered.

-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt it soon. We are unable to hold dogs for weeks or months due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.

ABOUT: Champ was a cruelty case from the city of Syracuse. He was chained in a yard on 90 degree day without shelter or water and was unconscious. He was rushed to the emergency medical center and luckily saved. While there he had some medical issues that needed attention. He was regurgitating every meal he had, and required surgery to remove excess tissue from his soft palate along with some saccules from his larynx. He requires his food to be softened with water before each meal to this day. He had a prolapsed urethra that was repaired and took a very long time to heal properly. Champ was only used for breeding and spent his life chained outside or living in the garage. Champ gets tired easily due to his short face, short frame and stubby legs. Its a lot of work to move that compact little body around! He overheats if exercised too much and cannot be outdoors in the heat for very long. Champ is housebroken, not a barker, makes cute grunty and snorting noises, and will put anything on the floor into his mouth. For this reason he will need a home without small children as he will eat all of their toys. Champ cannot have stuffed toys, and will go home with a plethora of his favorite durable toys. Champ aspires to be an instagram model and loves to wear clothes, showoff, and give lots of kisses and cuddles. He enjoys going for walks, and car rides and deserves the most perfect home ever after his very rough start in life.

Champ is neutered, micro chipped, heart worm negative, parasite negative, current on vaccinations and parasite prevention's.
