Adoption Process:
If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application
Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Applications will not be considered if you have not read the dogs bio in full and do not meet the requirements for that specific dog.
Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s).
****Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well.*****
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
-Primary applicants must be 21 or older and provide photo ID upon adoption
-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,-Dogs living in the home currently that are over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable.-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt within a week. We are unable to hold dogs due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.
Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place
Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours.
If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.
If renting, approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises.
If you have a current dog, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together. You will bring your dog to our facility for the meet. We cannot travel to you.If you adopt from Fetch A Friend Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Fetch A Friend Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt that dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. When a dog is posted we may receive up to 50 applications in a matter of hours. You will receive an email if selected to come and meet this dog.

ABOUT: Sweet Gracie came to us from another shelter after being picked up as a stray. It is evident this girl has had her share of mommy duty and is happy to be retired from that life! She is the happiest girl whos tail never stops wagging! Gracie is built low to the ground and is stocky. She is an energetic love bug who loves durable toys and carrying around her stuffed toys. Gracie is clean in her kennel, crate trained, and adores every human she meets. She rides well in the car, and enjoys walks. Gracie is a good mix of couch potato and playful pup who enjoys chasing toys.

ABOUT ME!: Beautiful Rosie is the happiest girl you will ever meet! This gal came to us with her 3 babies. Her family did not want any of them and simply gave them up. Rosie kept getting loose and pregnant. Lucky for her she is done with having babies and is now spayed. Rosie is a dog who wants to be with people. She loves every human and dog she meets. Rosie absolutely loves other dogs but may be too rough for smaller dogs. She plays hard and loves to run and chase them. Her dream would be to have a home with a canine best friend. Rosie is housebroken, not a chewer, and is a great passenger for car rides. Rosie is a country dog and does not care for city or apartment living. She is a bit of an escape artist and can scale a chainlink fence in under ten seconds. Baby gates would not hold her back from anything. She would do best in a home in the country with a lot of land, or a home with a solid panel fence or an invisible fence. Rosie is very clingy to her people so its not likely she would run off but its unknown. When she is supervised in a fenced yard she is happy to play with her canine pals and check in with you also. Rosie grew up with kids and will be a very loyal pup to a lucky family!

ABOUT: Adorable Ms. Rita came to us from an Amish farm where she lived outdoors fending for herself. Now that Rita is living the indoor life she is never looking back to her past life! She arrived with puncture wounds on her neck and body likely from being attacked by another animal. This sweet tiny tot certainly does not belong outdoors. She wants to be in where its warm, in a lap and giving you kisses! This girl LOVES to shower everyone she meets with sweet gentle little kisses. Rita is quiet as can be, clean in her kennel, and learning how to walk on a leash and wear a collar (she used to just roam free). Rita is great with every human and child, but would prefer a home as the only dog or with a large calm female dog. She does not care for little dogs.

ABOUT ME!: Itty bitty Zuzu came to us from a puppy mill. This little lady lived her life in a cage and was used solely for breeding, On top of that she was heart worm positive. Luckily upon further blood work she did not have any baby worms in her blood. This means she receives slow kill treatment(heart worm pill once a month for 6 months). Her heart worm medication will go home with her at adoption. At just 5 pounds Zuzu loves to be carried everywhere. Due to living her life in a wire cage she kind of slithers around like a weasel when she walks. She can walk on all 4 legs just fine, nothing is wrong with any of them. She is just an adorable quirky quiet, little girl who needs to learn how to be a dog. She never lived in a home prior to rescue. She does know how to use pee pads and will use them. She does not know how to go to the bathroom outdoors and due to her extremely tiny size she should never be left alone outdoors. She has never walked on a leash before and will run if she's nervous. A fenced yard or fenced area off of a door will be required for her safety. We adore this girl and cannot wait to see her in an amazing loving home.
I am spayed, low heart worm positive and on monthly prevention to treat, microchipped, current on vaccinations and parasite preventions!
