Adoption Process:
If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application
Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Applications will not be considered if you have not read the dogs bio in full and do not meet the requirements for that specific dog.
Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s).
****Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well.*****
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
-Primary applicants must be 21 or older and provide photo ID upon adoption
-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,-Dogs living in the home currently that are over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable.-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt within a week. We are unable to hold dogs due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.
Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place
Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours.
If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.
If renting, approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises. If you have a current dog, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together. You will bring your dog to our facility for the meet. We cannot travel to you.If you adopt from Fetch A Friend Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Fetch A Friend Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt that dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. When a dog is posted we may receive up to 50 applications in a matter of hours. You will receive an email if selected to come and meet this dog.

ABOUT ME!: Adorable brindle boy Gus is the sweetest boy who just wants to please his people and play with all of the dogs he can! Poor Gus has been waiting one year for his forever family. He has really blossomed here into a super social dog who loves daycare and plays well with dogs of all sizes. He has never met another dog he didn't like! He is definitely a friend to all and even does well with cats! Gus is seeking an active dog owner who understands how much exercise and daily enrichment a young athletic dog requires. This guy does not want to sit home alone all day being bored. Gus wants to be out on hikes, going to daycare, and getting his daily mental enrichment treats and toys. He unfortunately was not getting these things in his home and was chewing things he should not have. Gus absolutely needs to be crated when he is home alone for his own safety. He is perfectly content in his crate with his durable toys and does great. He would also be happy to be at doggy daycare during the week as well!
Gus is housebroken, incredibly loveable, and more than ready for the right family to come along! He loves women most and is pretty terrified of men. He will instantly approach any female with zero hesitation! He will not go anywhere near men and is extremely terrified of them. He is never aggressive towards them, and can handle being seen by one at the vet etc. He just simply does not ever warm up to them to ever become comfortable being around them. He will need a female owner with no men in the home for his ultimate comfort and happiness. He is a sensitive soul who will cower when a voice is raised. Gus just wants stability, routine, belly rubs, kisses, and doggy friends to be happy! Gus is neutered, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Tubbs is quite possibly one of the most wonderful dogs we have ever met! This beautiful girl came to us with quite a sad past. She was rescued from life on a chain in a backyard. This was after her "owner" was shot and killed in front of her. Tubbs was taken to a shelter and had a couple of lumps removed that were found to be mast cell cancer. She was able to have all of it removed and is cancer free! The vet said it is unlikely to come back within the next 5 plus years but it is unknown. Aside from all of this, Tubbs is quite possibly the happiest, sweetest girl on the planet. All she wants is love and cuddles from anyone who will sit with her. She adores kids, is a relatively low maintenance dog, is totally house trained, crate trained, loves having a huge bed and lots of stuffies to snuggle with, and enjoys walks! Tubbs has hip dysplasia and has been working on losing weight since her arrival. She will need to remain on a healthy diet, and kept well exercised. She cannot get overweight for the sake of her hips. Allowing her to get overweight will only shorten her life and cause her pain. Tubbs cannot jump up due to this and therefore cannot do stairs, or jump into vehicles, on the couch/bed etc. Nor does she jump up on people. Tubbs is an energetic girl who LOVES when volunteers come to walk her. She is a great mix of energetic and calm and cuddly. She will ignore other dogs out and about on walks but does not wish to play or live with them. She wants all the attention to herself which she absolutely deserves all the love in the world and should have it! We adore this girl VERY much and hope she finds the most perfect home ever. She deserves endless love and spoiling
(just not in the form of food!!)
Tubbs is very much a velcro dog and will follow you anywhere. She has never met a human or child she did not like and will greet every person as if they were her best friend!
Tubbs is spayed, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: This pretty girl was found as a stray and never reclaimed. She was nearly hit by a car and rescued by a policeman in the nick of time. Ruca is a sweet happy girl who is eager to please and learn new things. Ruca is a young energetic dog but she does get tired fairly quickly after a few laps around the yard with other dogs or a nice walk. She is not go go go by any means. She could handle a hike but she also has an off switch inside and LOVES to snuggle!
Ruca loves other dogs and plays very well with them in doggy daycare. She is very submissive to them if they snap or growl at her also. Ruca is an easy going girl who loves belly rubs, kisses, rolling in the grass, playing fetch, going on long walks with our volunteers, and soaking up as much love as she can. She just loves meeting new people and leans right into them for some love. Ruca will make a wonderful companion to any family who is looking for a beautiful, fun and silly girl!
Ruca is spayed, heart worm negative current on all vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME: Poutine is an absolutely beautiful girl with the most gorgeous coat and eyes! This sweet girl was roaming the streets without an owner and made her way into someone's fenced yard. She decided that is where she wanted to stay and was playing in the back yard with that family's dogs and even wandered right into the home and was playing with them and their toys. The family sadly could not add her to their family so she was sent to animal control to wait for her family who never came. No one ever came for her and she was transferred to us to find a new forever family. Poutine is an incredibly sweet girl who makes friends with any dog that she meets! Big or small she is great with them all! She loves going to doggy daycare and making new friends each day! Poutine loves to chase a ball in the yard, go for walks, and get lots of belly rubs! She is a large dog who needs to gain about 10 more pounds. She walks wonderfully on just a harness and will not drag you down the street. Poutine would love to find a family that will keep her active and love her lots!
Poutine is spayed, current on vaccinations, heart worm negative, dewormed, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.
