Adoption Process:
If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application
Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Applications will not be considered if you have not read the dogs bio in full and do not meet the requirements for that specific dog.
Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s).
****Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well.*****
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
-Primary applicants must be 21 or older and provide photo ID upon adoption
-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,-Dogs living in the home currently that are over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable.-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt within a week. We are unable to hold dogs due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.
Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place
Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours.
If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.
If renting, approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises. If you have a current dog, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together. You will bring your dog to our facility for the meet. We cannot travel to you.If you adopt from Fetch A Friend Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Fetch A Friend Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt that dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. When a dog is posted we may receive up to 50 applications in a matter of hours. You will receive an email if selected to come and meet this dog.

ABOUT ME!: Energetic Jasper is just that, high energy! His DNA was recently tested confirming he is half Irish Terrier and half Pit Bull Terrier. Those in combination explain his high energy level!
This boy is ready to run and play at all times! He absolutely requires an owner that can give him the daily exercise he desires and requires. Jasper came to us from dog control and was owned by a farmer who did not want to keep him leashed outside. Jasper therefore was always chasing cows, horses, and running off. They did not want him back after animal control picked him up so he found his way to us to find a new family. Jasper has since been neutered and vetted and is ready for an active home! His ideal home would be with another dog his size or larger, he loves to play with them! His canine companion should be one who likes rough play and can tolerate it as well. He goes to doggy daycare daily and plays very well with everyone! He would make a great jogging partner or one that likes to go on many hikes! He loves to play ball, splash in the kiddie pools, loves his daily enrichment food puzzles, and enjoys long walks with our volunteers. He is an incredibly smart boy who learns very quickly and is currently learning the ropes on the agility course and picked up most of it his first day!
Jasper keeps a very clean kennel and is housebroken!
Jasper is now neutered, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Gorgeous Rebel came to us from a local breeding situation. He was living among 50 other Aussies in a breeding kennel. These poor pups were living in absolute filth with no running water in the building. Rebel was covered in urine and feces and very matted. He was absolutely terrified when he came to us and very shut down. He has since warmed up to people tremendously and loves going for long walks with our volunteers. He is very head shy and scared of loud noises. He will require a patient owner with breed experience to help him learn to be a normal happy dog. He will be nervous initially when meting new people but he warms up quickly for some treats and then will approach you. Once he knows you he sticks to you like glue! Rebel has loads of energy and does not want to sit in a crate 8 hours a day. This boy wants to move and be worked physically and mentally. He will totally lose his mind if he just sits crated all day. He loves going to doggy daycare and making new friends! He plays very well with other dogs! He will absolutely need a home with another dog or two that wants to play constantly as much as he does! He will not do well in an apartment or in a home with small kids. Their quick movements and loudness just totally shut him down and scare him. Rebel is a very sweet boy however who loves to chase a ball and loves to be in your lap getting cuddles! He loves enrichment toys and figuring out food puzzles. Rebel is very much a house dog and would not do well in a home that keeps him outdoors alone for long periods of time or in a barn. He desires to be inside with his people. Rebel keeps a clean kennel and is searching for the perfect patient loving home.
Rebel is now neutered, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Adorable brindle boy Gus is the sweetest boy who just wants to please his people and play with all of the dogs he can! This boy came to us very shy back in December and was quickly adopted. But was then recently returned to us. He has really blossomed into a super social dog who loves daycare and plays well with dogs of all sizes. He has never met another dog he didnt like! He is definitely a friend to all and even does well with cats! Gus is seeking an active dog owner who understands how much exercise and daily enrichment a young athletic dog requires. This guy does not want to sit home alone all day being bored. Gus wants to be out on hikes, going to daycare, and getting his daily mental enrichment treats and toys. He unfortunately was not getting these things in his home and was chewing things he should not have. Gus absolutely needs to be crated when he is home alone for his own safety. He is perfectly content in his crate with his durable toys and does great. Gus is housebroken, incredibly loveable, and would do best in a home without small kids. Their loudness and quick movements scare him. He loves women most but does great with calm men who are not loud and dominant with him. He is a sensitive soul who will cower when a voice is raised. Gus just wants stability, routine, belly rubs, kisses, and doggy friends to be happy!
Gus is neutered, heart worm negative, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.

ABOUT ME!: Sweet Goose was left on a long country road with no houses in sight. A mailman saw her in the ditch and stopped to give her some water. It was obvious she had just had puppies but after a long search none were to be found. When animal control came back to get her she was still in the same spot staring down the road as though she was waiting for her people to come back. She was severely emaciated, had a badly broken tail and was heart worm positive. Despite all of this Goose remains sweet as can be. She loves to give kisses, have her belly rubbed. Goose loves being outdoors but only if her people and or canine companions are with her. She has a fear of being abandoned again and likes her people close by when she is outside to potty. This will subside as she learns she is safe and will not be dumped. She was very nervous about this when she was transferred to our rescue but has quickly learned we are not leaving her. Goose LOVES toys very much and is hoping for a home with lots of stuffies for her to toss around and play with! Goose has done very well meeting all other dogs but has not yet been cat tested. She keeps a very clean kennel and appears to be housebroken. She would love a home where someone is home with her often. She does not display any anxiety or stress when alone in her kennel but definitely enjoys being with people. She is a very playful dog but also knows how to be calm inside and just enjoy some cuddles! Goose is just an all around wonderful girl looking for a very special home. She will need to remain on heart worm prevention now that she has been treated as well.
Goose is spayed, heart worm treated, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on parasite prevention.
