Adoption Process:
If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application
Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Applications will not be considered if you have not read the dogs bio in full and do not meet the requirements for that specific dog.
Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s).
****Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well. We DO NOT take walk ins.*****
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
-Primary applicants must be 21 or older and provide photo ID upon adoption
-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,-Dogs living in the home currently that are over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable.-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt within a week. We are unable to hold dogs due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.
Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place
Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours.If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.If renting, approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises.If you have a current dog, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together. You will bring your dog to our facility for the meet. We cannot travel to you.If you adopt from Fetch A Friend Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Fetch A Friend Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt that dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. When a dog is posted we may receive up to 20 applications in a matter of hours. You will receive an email if selected to come and meet this dog.

ABOUT ME!: Sweet Chase came to us with his brother Inosuke. Their living arrangements changed and they were unable to keep the dogs. Chase is the absolute sweetest snuggle bug around! He loves people and getting as much as attention as he can! Everyone he meets instantly falls in love with his charm and snuggles! He loves to give everyone he meets his paw to greet them! He has played well with every dog he has met and he enjoys going to doggy daycare too! He loves to run, play, jump in the pools, and play chase with the other dogs! He is part Husky though, so your fence should be at least 5 feet high. He can easily hop over a 3 or 4 foot fence. He knows his basic commands, is housebroken, crate trained and used to sleeping in a crate during the day while his owners were at work. He is excellent on long car rides, has been raised with a young child and is just a pretty perfect boy who everyone here just adores! He
will make some lucky family very happy!

We had their DNA tested and they are quite the mixture of everything! The small breed genes definitely took over though! Lily and her sisters are typical puppies looking for families committed to the time and patience it takes to train a new family member. This includes potty training, basic commands, and continuing to keep up with proper socialization. Lily has been well socialized with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playmate.

ABOUT ME!: Sweet Atlas came back to us after her living situation changed. This lovely girl was adopted as a puppy during Covid and then returned over 5 years later when her family was moving. Atlas was extremely heartbroken and shut down for weeks after arriving. Everything she ever knew was gone and she was terrified. She lived with young children and leaving them behind at the front door left her an absolute crushed mess. After many weeks of decompression Atlas came around and decided it would be ok to be here. She has blossomed into such a big lovebug everyone here just adores her. She is an adult and therefore not destructive. Her room here is full of pillows, toys and even a toddler bed to sleep on! She is totally housebroken and can hold it no problem for long hours! She would not need to be crated when home alone either. She is still quite young at heart and LOVES to play! She could play fetch as long as you would let her and loves to run around a big yard and get the zoomies. Atlas was raised with cats but has not met any aside from the ones she once lived with. She would thrive in a country home with lots of land or in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced yard. Since she was adopted during Covid she never went anywhere or saw other dogs during puppy hood and therefore she does not like other dogs in her personal space at all so will need a home without any. Atlas is a beautiful girl with many years left and is eager to get out of a kennel and back into a wonderful home. She walks on leash like a dream and would not be too strong for an older person. She really is an easy perfect girl!

ABOUT ME!: Pint sized Pierogi may not be the cutest dog you've ever seen, but she makes up for it with her larger than life personality! This girl had a hard life, and despite that is possibly the happiest girl you will ever meet! She is exuberant, bouncy and full of joy! She greets everyone she meets with pure glee and flops over for a belly rub! Her little nub tail never stops wagging and she is always smiling. Pierogi spent her life on a chain in a backyard. She was pregnant and gave birth on a chain, she had mange and was completely bald. On top of all of that she was severe heart worm positive. She arrived to us in February and went through the long and painful process of heart worm treatment (confinement, no exercise and immeticide injections) She has finally tested negative and is ready to find her perfect home! Pierogi is housebroken, LOVES to play fetch but can also entertain herself no problem! Every volunteer who meets her falls in love instantly with her charming personality as she is the happiest silliest girl they have ever met! She loves to snuggle, go for long walks, is not a barker, and is crate trained. She loves to run and play with other dogs who are her size and larger. She is not a fan of small dogs and cats. Pierogi will make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family!
