Adoption Process:
If you see a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application located here------> Adoption Application
Applications must be completed in full, partially filled out ones will not be considered. Applications will not be considered if you have not read the dogs bio in full and do not meet the requirements for that specific dog.
Once we receive the completed application we will contact your references. Once approved we will contact you to set up a visit with the dog(s).
****Please do not show up without a scheduled appointment or approved application. All dog viewing is by appointment only as we work other jobs as well. We DO NOT take walk ins.*****
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
-Primary applicants must be 21 or older and provide photo ID upon adoption
-Please read through a dogs entire bio before applying so you know that you fit the specific needs and requirements for that dogs new home,-Dogs living in the home currently that are over 8 months old must be spayed/neutered unless medically unable.-Please do not apply for a dog if you are unable to adopt within a week. We are unable to hold dogs due to our small size. Dogs coming into us are coming from local shelters that are euthanizing for space so holding a dog for an extended period does not allow another dog to be saved.
Animals may not be adopted as a "gift" for someone unless all family members are aware of the adoption and meet the animal before the adoption takes place
Dogs must not be left crated for more than 8 hours.If you have a current pet, they must be up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. This includes cats. Dogs must have annual vet exams.If renting, approval from the landlord is required to keep the dog on the premises.If you have a current dog, your pet must meet the new pet before the adoption is finalized to make sure they will be compatible to live together. You will bring your dog to our facility for the meet. We cannot travel to you.If you adopt from Fetch A Friend Rescue and you cannot keep the pet for any reason, you must return the animal to Fetch A Friend Rescue. There is no guarantee that because you apply for the dog that you are going to adopt that dog. We seriously consider all applications but if we should suggest another dog for your home, it is because we truly know these dogs and possibly there is another dog that is a better fit. We strive for as best of a match as possible. Proper placement takes into consideration many things, including size, male/female, activity level, children and ages of the children, fencing or lack of, amount of time dog will spend home alone, and many other considerations. When a dog is posted we may receive up to 20 applications in a matter of hours. You will receive an email if selected to come and meet this dog.

ABOUT ME: Handsome Bentley is an incredibly sweet, smart and active boy looking for the best home! This sweet boy came to us as a young pup who was quickly adopted. His new dad took him everywhere! However after getting a new job that came to an end and Bentley found himself alone and in a crate for many hours a day which he did not like. He was returned to us completely emaciated skin and bones and his owner assumed it was due to stress. Given how much Bentley was still eating and how calm he was our vet began diving into many tests to figure out what was going on. After clearing every blood test they gave xrays a try and discovered he had a large bowel obstruction. This puzzled everyone as Bentley was still eating and going to the bathroom normally. He went right into surgery where they found a lot of trash in his intestines. Healing was hard given how thin and frail his body was but Bentley pulled through and is now thriving! This big boy deserves the best family and would be happiest with lots of land to run and play on again! He LOVES swimming in ponds, riding in the car (he is a great co pilot in a work truck!), playing fetch, going for long walks and hikes, loves kids, has great recall, knows his basic commands, will sit and wait for his meals, and loves learning new things. This boy loves to eat so keep that in mind when keeping things secure and out of his reach! Bentley is a very sweet young man who loves sleeping with you at the foot of your bed! He has lived with other dogs previously but did not like sharing his food/bones with them. He prefers young female dogs to play with but had lived with males. He absolutely loves puppies!

CAN I LIVE WITH DOGS: Yes all sizes! I would do best in a home with a playmate to run with and will require a home with some playful siblings! I would be very unhappy being without a playmate.
CAN I LIVE WITH CATS: Yes- I will chase them and try to play with them but have not tried to hurt one.

ABOUT ME!: Handsome William came to us as an owner surrender. He was being badly abused by his first owner as a puppy and a kind woman took him in even though she was homeless and living in a motel. She was trying to make it work until she received a devastating diagnosis and became too weak to care for a young large dog. She did a wonderful job raising him and he is an amazingly sweet dog who loves anyone and everyone he meets! William is incredibly dog friendly and absolutely loves going to doggy daycare everyday and making new friends. He would thrive in a home that has a very playful playmate or two for him! William is crate trained, knows his basic commands and is eager to learn new things! He is a strong boy on a leash and is currently working on his pulling. He is an extremely energetic dog who will need a lot of exercise which is why having other dogs in the home for him is needed. He just lives for playing with other dogs all day. He has an adorable heart shaped spot on his side as well! He is not a barker, and is eager to find himself a family with kids and or other dogs! He is a huge snuggle bug and loves sharing the bed with his people and will cuddle right up against you the whole night! As soon as the lights go out he knows its bed time, settles in beside you and is out for the night. William is truly the most wonderful boy and everyone just adores him!

ABOUT ME!: Sweet Sidney is a beautiful tri-color bully mix who is just the perfect size! Sid arrived to us with her brothers when their owner had an oops litter and could not find homes for them. They arrived very shut down and nervous pups afraid of the whole world! With lots of patience, love and training they have blossomed into super social and happy pups! Sidney LOVES other dogs, loves people and really loves going to doggy daycare and making friends of all sizes. She would prefer a playmate that can keep up with her and wrestle with her though! Sidney is your typical puppy who is going to need an adopter who is committed to the time and patience it takes to train a puppy all of the things to set them up for success! She will need guidance on potty training, commands and crate training. She is so eager to learn and food motivated and loves going for long walks with our trainer! Sid is eager to break out of the kennel life and find a family of her own to grown and learn with.

ABOUT ME!: Adorable little Charlie came to us when his owners were moving the next day and couldn't take him along. Charlie had never seen a vet or gone anywhere in his young life. So he is now getting all of the socialization and proper care he was missing out on. He is now fully vetted, an angel for his grooming (thank you TLC Pet Grooming for donating your services!), he loves going to daycare and making new friends and is just the happiest little ball of energy around. Charlie loves everyone and everything he meets, is no couch potato and will require daily exercise to get all those zoomies out! He will benefit greatly from basic obedience classes and learning a regular potty training routine(his family used pee pads) but he knows to do his business outdoors with a routine!
He is looking for a family that understands the grooming maintenance required for this breed to keep him feeling and looking his best. A grooming reference is highly recommended for all Poodle mix adoptions.

ABOUT ME!: Little Lady came to us as an owner surrender. Her elderly owners bought her from a local puppy mill when she was 6 months old and where she spent all 6 months living in a cage. She was a fearful unsocial dog when they purchased her but they had a fenced yard with a dog door and never had to interact with her and therefore did not. She came and went as she pleased in and outdoors and never was taught anything. She never used a leash or a collar and therefore does not know how to walk at all on leash. Our trainer has been working with her on this but Lady will require a dog in the home to learn from. She is a true Cocker and is FULL of energy. She needs a patient active home with equally playful dogs and where she will receive plenty of daily exercise. She requires a securely fenced yard as she is a runner and does not like the leash. Invisible fence would not a be acceptable as she would blow right through it out of fear. Lady thrives around other dogs and loves going to doggy daycare, chasing birds, getting dirty, playing in the water etc! She does not have a mean bone in her body and is a sweet girl who wants to trust people but has never been given a reason to do so. She is highly food motivated and is willing to learn for food! She requires regularly grooming for her long hair and is currently clipped short for the Summer as she is always in the water here. Lady is looking for just the right home who will help her to learn that the world is not so scary!

ABOUT ME!: Sweet Chase came to us with his brother Inosuke recently. Their living arrangements changed and they were unable to keep the dogs. Chase is the absolute sweetest snuggle bug around! He loves people and getting as much as attention as he can! He has played well with every dog he has met and he enjoys going to doggy daycare too! He loves to run, play, jump in the pools, and play chase with the other dogs! Despite being part Husky, Chase has amazing recall, listens well and sticks close. He knows his basic commands, is housebroken, crate trained and used to sleeping in a crate during the day while his owners were at work. He is excellent on long car rides, has been raised with a young child (7 and up) and is just a pretty perfect boy who will make some lucky family very happy!

ABOUT ME!: Handsome Inosuke (IN-O-SKI) came to us with his brother Chase recently. Their living arrangements changed and they were unable to keep the dogs. Inosuke is the absolute sweetest boy who loves to lay on top of you and snuggle! He loves being brushed and groomed and as part Husky, lots of hair and brushing will be a thing! He has met many dogs but doesn't seem to care about them one way or another. He can be adopted with or without his brother, they don't interact much with each other when they are together. He loves going on long walks with our trainer and walks very nicely on a leash. His recall isn't the greatest so he will either need a fenced yard or to be kept on a leash when outdoors. He can be a runner!
